Red Bluff vs Oroville

Oroville 7, Red Bluff 3
Oroville's power surge in the fifth inning sunk the Bulls in the first game of Sunday's doubleheader, as the Tigers defeated Red Bluff 7-3.
Redfield's strong relief effort was spoiled by a pair of two-run homers, which broke a 3-3 tie to constitute the final score. Redfield entered the game in a 3-0 deficit after starter Aaron Collier gave up three earned runs in two innings.
The Bulls tied the game without a hit in the top of the fifth, starting when Junior Bulls call-up Austin Brownfield was hit by a pitch. He advanced on Redfield's groundout and scored on the error that brought Zelwick aboard. Trevor Miller and E.J. Stanton drew back-to-back walks to load the bases and Collier plated Zelwick with a ground ball to the right side that was misplayed for another error. Miller crossed on a wild pitch, but a pair of strikeouts prevented the Bulls from taking the lead.
Redfield, who breezed through the third and fourth innings to enable Red Bluff's comeback, began to falter with a leadoff walk in the bottom of the fifth. Zelwick relieved after four runs scored, Redfield returned to pitch the sixth, and Zelwick came back to close it.
Zelwick shut the Tigers down for the last two innings, but Red Bluff was also hitless  during that span. He threw a total of 2 2/3 scoreless innings, allowing only one hit.
Collier went 2-for-4 to lead Red Bluff's offense and Stanton also had a base hit.
