The Red Bluff Bulls trekked to Oregon on Thursday for three games, a doubleheader that night with Roseburg and a nine-inning game Friday versus Grants Pass.

Roseburg 8, Red Bluff 2

E.J. Stanton's at-bat to lead off the Roseburg opener was the best of the entire game for Red Bluff. He fouled off three pitches with two strikes, then slapped a base hit up the middle. He advanced to third on a single by Josh Galbert and scored when Aaron Collier singled.
The Bulls struggled offensively for the rest of the night, however, and lost 8-2 despite the early lead.
Ben Redfield pitched five effective innings, allowing two earned runs on five hits. He walked two and struck out three before yielding to reliever Daniel Zelwick. At the time, Red Bluff trailed 3-2, but Zelwick didn't get any help from his defense. Roseburg scored five unearned runs in the sixth to put the game out of reach.
Red Bluff's other run came in the fifth. Stanton was hit by a pitch and he scored on Galbert's two-bagger down the left-field line.

Roseburg 10, Red Bluff 0

Stanton's leadoff at-bat was again the offensive highlight for the Bulls against Roseburg, as Red Bluff was one-hit and shut out in the second game, 10-0.
Stanton singled in the first inning, moved to second on a error, and Aaron Collier was hit by a pitch to load the bases. A pair of strikeouts ended the threat, however, and Red Bluff did not achieve a baserunner the rest of the game.
Andy Moreno pitched four innings and Trevor Gipson closed on the mound. The hosts enforced the 10-run rule with one out in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Grants Pass 11, Red Bluff 5

Red Bluff ripped four extra-base hits but couldn't keep up with the offensive firepower of Grants Pass on Sunday, as the Bulls were defeated 11-5.
The Bulls were scoreless until the fifth, when Collier singled and Galbert hit a double to put runners in scoring position with no outs. Andrew Lish lifted a fly ball to right, deep enough for a sacrifice fly, and Jeff Evans doubled to bring home Galbert.
Collier spanked a double to lead off the seventh and scored on a two-out hit by Evans, but at that point Red Bluff still trailed 8-3.
Moreno singled out of the nine-hole to open the eighth and took second on a one-out single from Zelwick. Gipson laced a double into the right-center gap for a run-scoring double and Collier followed with a RBI groundout to the right side.
Evans finished 3-for-4 with two RBI to pace Red Bluff's offense.
Galbert took the loss on the mound, giving up five runs (four earned) on nine hits in 3 2/3 innings. Gipson, Moreno, Patrick Callahan and Collier teamed up for the relief effort.
